Following success of the session in the last couple of years, we are once again hosting a drop-in session for delegates before the Opening Ceremony and Drinks Reception. This lively, informal meet & mingle is for those new to EECERA and the conference, and those wishing to meet new people/ make new connections. Country Coordinators serve as local representatives who promote EECERA’s work and connect early childhood professionals and researchers within their countries to EECERA’s international network.
Come and connect with your Country Coordinator. This informal gathering provides an opportunity to connect with your Country Coordinator in person, learn about their role, discuss how you might work together and explore ways to get involved with EECERA’s network in your country and beyond.

Exploring the Pedagogy of Learning and Playing Outdoors: Questions of Purpose and Intention (Routledge, 2025), edited by Mart, Gessiou, and Waters-Davies, brings together international perspectives examining the intention and purpose of children’s outdoor playful activity and the associated issues of pedagogy.
This groundbreaking book challenges taken-for-granted pedagogies by constructing knowledge through a fusion of critical reflection on experience, research, and practice. Such action generates new ways of being, doing, and knowing, while making visible the value systems, cultural norms, and power relationships embedded within our constructions of outdoor pedagogy.
The launch will take place during EECERA 2025 and will be an opportunity to hear from the editors, meet contributors, and engage in informal dialogue.
